This painting was inspired by a butterfly exhibit I once saw at Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo. Entering a tent of sorts and around you fly all veritiy of beautiful butterflies. Some landing, some flittering from plant to plant, some even gave a little pause for a photo opp. The pale pinks and blues, along with the bright oranges and yellow make these butterflies really fly off the dark black, green and violet background. Buterflies painted seperately to appear to be flying off the page.
